A dog is not just a dog. There are plenty of different types of dogs. You have to know the difference, especially if you are thinking of buying a dog. Some dogs are different and grow to be different sizes. Here are a few of the most popular dogs.

Golden Retriever

Welcome to the dog that is nicknamed “The World’s Most Popular Dog.” This dog is one of the bigger dogs and their likeable nature makes them the larger dog of choice for families. They tend to be very good with children and pose no risk. They can be protective but are not aggressive by nature.

Lhasa Apso

These dogs are some of the cuter dogs out there and they make a good pet for people who live in smaller spaces and don’t always have the time to take the dog out for a walk. These pets tend to be known by their longer hair. In order to keep them properly groomed they will need pretty frequent haircuts, but otherwise they are very cute, small dogs that are easy to maintain.

Yorkshire Terrier

In many respects this is one of the most expensive breeds of dogs there is. If they are purebred, the cost is going to set the owner back quite a few bucks. They are great show dogs, but they are also very fun dogs to keep as pets. As an added note, they look cute in pet costumes.

If you are thinking about getting a dog, these are three great choices. You will find loads more of options in ebayclassifieds. Whether it’s a bigger dog or a smaller dog, you won’t be disappointed going off of this list.

With the number of pet food brands increasing every week, it becomes harder to choose the right kind of food for your pet. Apart from advertising, pet foods are provided with little information to choose the right dry or canned food. However knowing some secrets about these foods will help you make up your mind.

The first unknown secret for pet foods is that all the pet foods available on the market use deceptive words that actually don’t define their foods. However there are a few foods available in the market that add premium ingredients. According to pet food rules, no pet food manufacturer can make any references about the quality of the food. Premium is just a marketing term used by pet food manufacturers as a sales term.

The second well known secret is that there is no information about the ingredients mixed in the pet food. There is no set percentage of fat, protein and other nutritional value of the pet food. Pet food manufacturers use chicken feet, euthanized animals and human grade meat in their foods in different concentrations. Pet foods for dogs require 18 percent protein, which cat foods require 26 percent protein. There is no way to find this out from the labels with limited information. Most of the food products imported from Mexican manufacturing facilities which supply to multiple pet food brands. This is the reason that pet food recalls are often made together by multiple brands. Hence about 40 percent of the products on a market shelf can be the same thing with varying prices. Choosing the cheapest one might just be the same as picking the most expensive ones.

Pets like children need special care and preparation when travelling anywhere. Many time travelling with pets is unavoidable and hence owners need to take the huge decision of taking their pets with them.

Many pet owners prefer to avoid flying with their pets since it is a traumatic experience for them. However, if there is no other option other than flying with your pet then there are a few thing that you need to know. Only really small pets are allowed to travel with its owner in the passenger side, otherwise your pet will have to travel in the cargo class. Pet flying rules differ from airline to airline and checking them before flying will help with you avoid any problems afterwards. Airlines have different safety precautions that need to be known. Pets also need to be checked by a veterinarian to see if they are fit to travel long distances. When travelling internationally, a lot of planning is necessary when accommodating your pet. Regulations in every country are different. Pets need to be vaccinated according to the regulation of the country. Pets need to be vaccinated long before the departure date. The most common vaccinations are rabies, whose certificate you need to keep with you and your pet.

When going to foreign cities, you will also need to find out about the pet friendly hotels. A few websites give you numerous options for pet friendly hotels that offer five star service to your pet. Find activities for your pet when you are on a holiday.

If you have decided that you will be taking your pet with you to your next holiday or vacation, then there are certain things that you need to know and prepare for. It is only when keeping pets at home or at a neighbors place is out of the question that people think about taking their pets along with them. Some people have such an attachment to their pets that keeping them away from them is not favored.

When travelling long distances by road, you will need to think of a place where your pet can travel comfortably. A carrier for the pet, preferably one in which the pet is used to sleeping is great. You will have to secure the carrier in the vehicle. Most pets do not prefer to wear seatbelts, however you can find confortable ones for your pet in pet-stores and try to get your pet to adjust to it. When travelling long distances most pet owners tend to leave their pets for long periods in the vehicle. Leaving your pets alone in the car is never a good decision, especially when the temperatures are very high. Pets which have a tendency to get motion sickness easily need to be given medicines provided by the veterinarian. Pets need to be control fed during long car rides, since it will avoid upsetting the stomachs of your pet. Avoid feeding tap water to your pet when on a vacation and only feed bottled water which will be free of water borne pathogens.
